Privacy Policy

In accordance with the Privacy Act, personal information gathered by Those Best Placed Public Forum in order to identify Members as bona fide members of the public, or duly authorized members of Not For Profit community groups or associations or incorporations, or as the proper Officers of Governments or Commercial enterprises, and shall only be used for the purposes of Those Best Placed Public Forum, Project Team Leaders, Those Best Placed Consumer Advocates and the Board of Directors of the Public Forum, and will never be provided to third parties without the express permission of that Member. 

To the extent permissible at law, Those Best Placed and the Public Forum does not necessarily endorse any views expressed by individual Members on the website, or contained in any material uploaded to the site, saving for that site content which is contributed by Those Best Placed itself.

Whilst the Public Forum will make every effort to provide a quality assured diligence over and mediation of any potentially defamatory, or socially, commercially or ethically inappropriate material, legal liability for any content uploaded to the Public Forum website remains entirely with the Author of the material, whose Membership of the Public Forum will be bound by the Public Forum Code of Conduct, and governed by the Public Forum Dispute Resolution Procedures.

In providing an interface to facilitate direct engagement between Governments and Business, and their communities/markets on specific environmental issues, the Public Forum enables Members to access information resources across and between Project teams themselves, and across and between individual members.

This would not, however restrict the right of any member to block contact between themselves and other individuals and even between themselves and other members of their Project Team.

Several levels of security permissions will protect privacy between Members, as visitors to TBP Public Forum progress from Public Contributors to Member Contributor or Expert Member Contributor to Project Team Leaders.  These permissions may be enjoyed by the individual member, but may be restricted by the Project Team Leaders on that Environmental Issue, Those Best Placed, or the Board of Directors of TBP Public Forum, in response to complaints from other Members.

Membership will be made available to those who wish to remain anonymous from other Members, but those people must confirm their identity to the Project team Leader to gain original membership of the Public Forum, where they will be identified by assumed name.  These members contributions will, however be equally subject to the peer review of other Project Team Members, whilst still maintaining the anonymity of the author.

Further Security permissions will also be active under individual member control across the community of interest who engage to other Project Teams, and any interaction between individual Members of TBP Public Forum on site will be fully transparent and public, and only at those respective Member's complete discretion and responsibility.
